C20 / GEN 3 Concrete in Lincolnshire

C20 (also specified as GEN 3 to BS 8500) is a general-purpose concrete suitable for domestic and light-duty applications. It has a characteristic compressive strength of 20 N/mm² at 28 days. It is one of the most widely used grades for non-structural domestic work.

• Domestic ground-floor slabs and oversite concrete
• Garden paths, patios and paving bedding
• Kerb and step bedding
• Infill and mass concrete where structural strength is not required
• Domestic garage floors (light vehicles)

Is C20 Right for My Project?

C20 is ideal for light domestic applications where structural loading is minimal. For driveways with regular vehicle use, we would typically recommend C30 or higher. For house foundations, we recommend a minimum of C25 / ST2.
